In March 2019, the implementation of the project code SMIS 2014+120009 entitled “Completing the level of knowledge of biodiversity by implementing the system for monitoring the conservation status of species and habitats of community interest in Romania and reporting based on Article 17 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC” began, funded by the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014 – 2020.
The coordinator/beneficiary is the Ministry of Environment. ICB Cluj is a partner in the consortium, the coordinator of the expert team is CSI Dr. Fărcaş Sorina. The project will be completed in 2022, one of the main results being the Country Report prepared based on the provisions of Article 17 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC, but also the development of a Guide on monitoring the conservation status of habitats and species of community interest in Romania.
