My research interest lies at the intersection of microbiology, biotechnology, and environmental science. My primary research focus revolves around the synthesis of environmentally sustainable alternatives to petroleum-derived plastics, specifically polyhydroxyalkanoates produced by diverse microorganisms. However, I am always trying to explore areas beyond my established expertise, underscoring my dedication to ongoing learning and the pursuit of innovative perspectives.
  • PredAqua (2024-2026) – maintaining multi-species freshwater communities in mesocosms and performing perturbation experiments to test the predictive accuracy of various ecosystem models of food web interactions.
      • Mechanical evaluation of solvent casted poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) films derived from the storage polyesters produced by Halomonas elongata DSM 2581T. (2021).
