I am a botanist with expertise in plant ecology and a primary focus on the study of plant communities in the context of nature conservation and climate-change. My research involves:
  • Describing vegetation types in the field, and mapping existing vegetation in GIS systems (QGIS, ArcGIS).

  • Understanding the drivers of plant community structure and diversity, with a focus on the study of climate change and land use change impacts on vegetation (using R programming language).

  • Fundamental research in protected areas - evaluating the conservation status of existing habitats and plant species, the impacts affecting them and elaborating conservation measures in the form of management plans.
  • 2019-2023: POIM, SMIS 120009, Enhancing the knowledge level of biodiversity by implementing a monitoring system for the conservation status of species and habitats of community interest in Romania, in compliance with Article 17 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC.

  • 2022–2023: Conservative and sustainable management of biodiversity in the sites ROSCI0314 Lozna, ROSPA014 Middle Course of the Someș River, and ROSCI0435 Someș between Rona and Țicău, as well as the protected areas overlapping these sites.
