I work as a technician, primarily with the phytoplankton research group, where my responsibilities encompass a range of technical and laboratory tasks:
- Sterilization processes - Ensuring sterile conditions for experiments and maintaining contamination-free environments for phytoplankton cultures.
- Preparation of culture media and substances - Formulating and preparing precise culture media and chemical solutions to support the growth and study of phytoplankton.
- Equipment calibration - Regularly calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in data collection and experimental results.
- Occasional experimental work - Assisting in the design and execution of experiments, contributing to ongoing research projects within the group.
- This role allows me to contribute mainly to phytoplankton research while enhancing my technical expertise and understanding of laboratory operations.
